Latest OCA work

My most recent OCA assignment has been to create 3, A4 sized pictures from a sketch in my sketch book. All to be done in mixed media, or rather using a combination of dip pen & ink, pastels, markers or coloured pencils.
It has been an interesting exercise so I thought I'd share it with you.
This one of the flowers in a blue jug is my favourite! Done in pastels with dip pen & ink.

Progression in Markers

I've now been working in markers (felt-tips) for the last few weeks.
And yes...it still feels like I'm a kid again, scribbling away and colouring-in!
Its such fun!!
On a serious note....on one hand I like the effect I'm just starting to get, colour blending and mixing is still a bit hap-hazard, but overall it feels like I'm not really getting the point.
Oh well...more practice required!

Landscape in felt-tip pens

I had great fun doing this! Somehow, using felt-tip pens doesnt feel like something an adult should do, let alone use them as a serious medium, but my course work calls for work a landscape in felt-tips so this was my first attempt today at Ferry Meadows.Align Centre
A glorious day made the time fly by. I had a picnic table all to myself, my face has even gone a bit red from the sun, and lots of curious and well intentioned people offering general chit chat and advice!
What more could I ask for!
